The initiative, marking the club’s 10th anniversary and the King’s Trust’s 50th, will provide mentorship, performance training, and real-world opportunities, culminating in participants featuring in headline cabaret productions.

Strictly Comme Dancing star Tasha Ghouri, who overcame personal adversity to become a professional dancer, will mentor the young performers throughout the programme.

Tasha Ghouri, programme mentor and The King’s Trust Ambassador, said: “Many talented young people face financial and access barriers when entering this competitive industry. This programme will help break down those obstacles, giving them the support and opportunities they deserve.”

Co-founders Evelina Girling and Doni Fierro of The London Cabaret Club said the programme aims to create pathways into professional entertainment while promoting diversity and inclusion. Selected participants will train at the club’s Bloomsbury Ballroom and have a chance to perform in gala productions, including the new Italian-themed show, La Vita è Dolce!, with one standout performer offered a professional contract.

Research commissioned by the club of 1,000 parents of children aged 8–16 highlighted the financial and access barriers that prevent participation in arts and culture. Nearly 40% of parents said high costs prevented their children from attending extracurricular clubs, and 44% reported feeling guilty about limiting access to creative opportunities.

Sharon Gyimah, Head of Delivery at The King’s Trust, added: “Confidence-building, professional networks, and hands-on experience are vital for young people to succeed. Partnering with the London Cabaret Club allows us to open doors into an industry that often feels out of reach.”

The programme will provide continued mentorship beyond the three-year scheme, aiming to nurture the next generation of young talent hoping to build careers in the entertainment industry.
