EasyJet predicts its busiest Easter yet, with nearly 30,000 flights and 5.2 million seats across Europe during the two-week school break. Bristol Airport, England’s third-largest regional airport, expects around 725,000 passengers from March 27 to April 19, with 150,000 travelling just over the Easter weekend.

Popular UK destinations include Dublin, Edinburgh, and Glasgow, while Geneva, Innsbruck, and Verona are seeing high demand from skiers trying to catch the season’s final runs.

For those chasing warmer weather, flights to Palma, Alicante, Malaga, Faro, and Tenerife are expected to be the busiest, along with Amsterdam for international connections.

The airport is also reminding travellers to plan for smooth security checks. Those carrying Easter chocolate should keep it in cabin baggage and make it easily accessible, as it may need to be opened for inspection.

Passengers are advised to keep only essentials in hand luggage, remove coats, belts, and hats when prompted, and empty metal water bottles before entering security.

Pushchairs, car seats, wheelchairs, and walking aids that haven’t been checked in may be searched, and children over one metre tall must use the security scanner, while younger children or those unable to stand will be hand-searched.

Travellers with medical conditions or hidden disabilities can request a private search for comfort and convenience.

Bristol Airport encourages all passengers to check the rules at their departure and return airports ahead of travel to make the Easter journey as smooth as possible.
