Dani Dyer says she and her fellow Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins co-stars "lost all dignity on day one" of using the "horrendous" toilets.

The 29-year-old reality star has revealed she lost a toenail and was left with blisters all over her feet while partaking in the Channel 4 show in North Africa. She admitted getting clean was a waste of time due to the nature of the mucky challenges, while the toilet situation was beyond vulgar.
She said: "The toilet situation was horrendous. We lost all dignity on day one. It was open toilets, 50-degree heat, it smelled awful. We were pooing on poo, putting sand on top. Washing armpits in sinks. Showers were pointless because you’d get dunked in mud. My toenail came off. My feet were covered in blisters."
The daughter of former EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, 48, was inspired to sign up for the endurance show by fellow former Love Island star Georgia Harrison, 31, who was the joint winner in 2023.
Asked why she chose to take part, she said: "You know what, I’ve always been a massive fan of the show and I remember watching a series that Georgia Harrison had done thinking that I really feel like I want to do it. And so when the opportunity came around, I just couldn’t say no. These sorts of opportunities don’t really come around often so I just thought, let’s have a go, let’s see if I can actually do it."
The hardest part for Dani was the water-based challenges as she has a fear of water.
She explained: "I’ve always had a bit of a fear of water. I’ve never been a confident swimmer. I think now with the kids, I sort of realised, especially after doing Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, that I really need to get in the water more. I mean, my son is really doing well with his swimming now and I want to be able to do that with my twins because learning how to swim is so important.
"I’ve always found swimming really boring and that’s now brought on the fear of being scared of the unknown and water. So every time I’d see a little bit of water on the challenges, I’d think, oh my God, here we go."
Dani had to go underwater and face a new fear of heights on the show.
She said: "My main fear that I overcame was probably going underneath the water because there were some tasks where we just had no choice and we had to do it."
Dani added: "I never really knew I was scared of heights until I was put in front of a task with heights, so just getting up there and doing it, made me really proud of myself because I've now realised that I'm basically scared of everything."
The series sees seven British celebrities - also including former rugby champion Ben Cohen, former cricketer Graeme Swann and Gladiator Toby Olubi - pitted against seven Australians in the ultimate test of strength, endurance and nerve.
The new season premieres on Sunday, January 4 at 9pm and airing Sundays and Mondays on Channel 4, with all episodes also available to stream.
